Hey guys, just after a little noise out of my ek civic 1.6 SOHC, I was thinking of just replacing the rear muffler with a sports muffler. Would this give it a little more noise. Thank you tom.

Let's keep the spam down...

What kind of "sports" muffler? Keep in mind that bolt-on modifications barely give you any power on a D-Series. You'll mostly get noise.

I recommend staying away from giant coffee cans. Something like this:

...wouldn't be bad. Something that looks similar to that. If you keep your cat and resonator, it shouldn't sound too loud. A good aftermarket exhaust I'd recommend is an Apexi WS2.

I ended up getting the first muffler replaced with a small hotdog muffler and then the rear muffler replaced with a straight through sports muffler, sounds awsome very happy with it.

hot dog muffler? Wtf?

You should only have one muffler. Unless you are referring to the cat converter, or the resonator being the "hot dog" lol

you only have one muffler please reword that and let us know what you are talking about.
and what exactly is a straight thru sports muffler?
what brand it is?
where did you get it from?
personally i would have gotten an entire cat back system if i were you such as Yonaka

The stock exhaust had a muffler in the center and a resonator in the rear, the first muffler was replaced with a small hot dog muffler (that's what we call them in Australia) and the rear resonator was replaced with a straight through sports muffler, it sounds great really sporty and I have noticed better throttle response.
