Ek hatch front suspension problem

Hi all, first post here, hoping someone could help me with an issue I have a with my 2000 ek hatch.

My front left suspension appears to what I would say is "slap" on big bumps, it just happens on the front left, I can't see anything wrong, but obviously... There is! The whole left side of the car is roughly 2-4 inches lower than the right side

Thanks

You might have a broken spring. You need to take the tire off and take a look at the strut assembly

The girlfriend had this issue in the rear on her 98 DX coupe, the rear was sagging a bit more on the right side. It clunked a lot and anyone sitting in the back complained. She had a blown strut, it was pretty easy to diagnose, you could push down hard on the trunk of the car and it was pretty easy to move, didn't travel much and made an awful noise.

Swapped out all of the struts and it drove really well. Swapped out the tie rod ends and ball joints, drove like a dream.

If it seems lower it's probably a broken spring as mentioned.

Had a slight lower side on my car for a while about 1/2-1" lower but no noise.

When I installed lowering springs the stock spring on that side literally crumbled in two pieces when the whole assembly was taken off the car.

Thanks a heap, definitely going to take a look at the spring, wanting to get this issue sorted before a few others
