EK stock airbox

Hi!
I bought stock EK airbox so i have one question.

In picture you can see air filter box with PVC. Is there need's to be some rubber ring between connection?

Thanks for info. I don't have that seal so i seal it with electrical tape.
And without that rubber the sound on higher rpm is so loud .First i thought that my exhaust have hole in it.
