Hey, does anybody know for sure if an EK9 pop out cup holder fits in an EJ8? I've found varied responses on the net and am still confused. Thanks!

Yeah it should fit. Have you installed an aftermarket cd player or si climate control? You'll have to ditch the stock cd unit if its got a cd player in the lower portion.
the ek9 cup holder i want just has a cubby hole. im keeping the stereo up top. just want the better cup holder, and cleaner look.

yea, the cups sit in the bottom tray with the pop out holder. i hardly use mine, so the tucked away version is nice, most people hate the ej8 holders(including me) lol. plus JDM, you cant go wrong! i think ill have to find out if they fit or not the expensive way.

the ej8 holder seems to shoot back kind of straight. while the ek9 seems to dip down a little. but the pics are hard to read. of coarse it only looks like this before its bolted in. ill post pics once i get one. in a week or two. straight from japan. 
they are expensive. no lie. cheapest ive found is around $100. Ebay is a good place to look. i doubt you can find a new one, so dont look at jdm websites. $50 to buy and $50 to ship from japan.
