Electrical Distributor

I heard from my friend that there are these electrical distributor that are better than normal distributors we have in our stock civics. He said the timings are better than the normal rotator ones. He also saids it increases a little horse power and lower possibility of defects like the original distributor.

Does anyone know if this is true??
If there is something like a electrical distributor, then what's the real name for it, and where can i get it?

never heard of one, but i think the newer honda have electrical distributor, but im not, i been out of the car scene for awhile now. i looked in the new honda, i dont even see a distributor.
