Electrical Problem in 91' hatch

My odometer light has gone out and I don't know what is wrong. It has done this before then it has gone out before as well. My cigarette lighter and roof light do not work as well. Are my fuses bad? If you know anything that could help please let me know Thanks.

All the lights on the odometer or just one? If it is all of them then it sounds like a fuse. Are your parking lights out as well? If so then most likely your illumination fuse is out. Do you have an aftermarket radio? If so then make sure the illumination wire from the car is capped off in the back. That wire shorting out will cause that fuse to blow.
