electrical problems

when i turn on my headlights, the clock dims out, the climate control has no more light, and the instru cluster loses all light to it too. can anyone help me or have any suggestions on how to fix it

sounds like you need to turn up your dimmer switch and if that doesn't help, it might be a bad switch.

yea i tried the dimmer and changing light bulbs and stuff... imma try messing wit the switch thnx

does anyone know how do i get teh switch out... do i just pop it off wit a screw driver or ?? i dont' wanna break it

It can be popped out with a screwdriver, just start from the bottom or top of the plate and not the sides.

alternator could be going out.

haha i took out the dimmer switch and then took the platic parts off... i pluged it back in and it started getting hot... i think i blew the switch cuz it made a poof sound and a puff of smoke came out... i think ineed new switch hahahahhaha

If the only issue is that the dash lights aren't working, its probably the dimmer switch.
