i've been wrenching on my 93 civic ex 4dr since december and am at a head scratching point. some of the electronics (such as the windows and locks and mirrors) don't work, and i was wondering if anyone knew a possible problem before i strip it down and look. because i have no idea what i'm looking for

i have replaced all my fuses, so its not that. and do you think taking it in to a shop would be terribly expensive?
I cannot drive the car legally until i get it inspected, and until the windows work... it won't pass i'm sure.

Any thoughts?

I know you said you checked the fuses, but did that include the fuses in the panel under the hood? Being that your windows, locks, and mirrors don't work.... it sound like a problem in the wiring of the door. Are you sure no plugs have come undone from inside the door? What about the wiring that comes from the door into the main cabin? Has that been damaged? Just a few thoughts to get you started.

good ideas... i had looked at the fuses under the hood a week after i got the car, but thoroughly forgot about them. and its not just my door that doesn't work, its all the lock/window switches on all the doors. but that actually IS a good start, thanks alot man... i'll get to work on this tomorrow =)
