em1 versus 5th gen prelude

2000 civic si - 160hp and 111tq

vs

5th gen prelude - 200hp and ____torque cuz iono haha

so we were playing poker at my boy's house in south city. and my friend leaves so i was like lets race before we bounce. so we head down to junipero serra. we hit the light at king and junipero serra. i got only an intake and a exhaust and he's stock. i dump it at 4.5k and he launches also, im up by 1/2 a car all the way thru 3 gears and by the shift to 4th he starts to creep and pulll on me. and we shut down before the overpass to stop in time for the next light and a u turn home.

what do u think. my track best was 15.7 and iono what the 5th gens run.

i think that gen prelude runs low 15s stock with manual. you just might be a better driver than you're friend.

ummm i think he had a bad launch or ur just a better driver..! my friends LS swapped 99 civic coupe can smoke civic si's all day and his best time is 14.9 on the qauter mile and when we race i always win not by much but its a win. not doubting u or anything..nice kill tho

Was it an auto 5th gen? If so they are slow as f**k. A manual should have no problem beating a si. The driver must of been shiety.

haha stock ls swapped civics will not smoke civic si's all day..infact NOT AT ALLL....
do u have any idea what the specs are on a ls???

that ls had to be modded to run 14.9s.

I raced several 5th gen ludes when my 99' si was stock and in every race except for one where the person had no idea how to drive it was almost dead even! (drivers race)

actually the lude (if manual) is a few tenths less slow in the 1/4
