Hey all i have a black 97 ej6 i got back in 03 it had EM1 wheels on it and at this point they arent worth re surfacing but painting is an option..if any one has painted there Em1 wheels post them up id like to get an idea of what they would look like on a black car. right now im deciding between the UKDM silver that comes on there EM1 and gunmetal.

Suggestions and pics would be most excellent!! thanks!

hmmmmm your the third person to suggest polish... the more i hear it the more i like the idea. How bout if i reword the paint to Powder coat. The main problem is the wheels have been sand blasted so there original Machined finish is long gone so the only option is powdercoating or polishing.. but im not sure if i like polished wheels. i Like the shape of the GSR blades but not 100 percent on shiney wheels.. There are tomanny people whith Chrome wheels around where i live and any type of shiny wheel has ben ruined for me.. i need to see what it would look like i guess
and yes EK|B SI wheels
Does any one have any pictures of there cars that they have either powder coated or polished the OEM SI wheels? The other thing is im trying to think how much shiney is to much shiney FOR ex

Thats my car>> It has a domani front end incase people are wondering , but any way the fact that the bumper lights are chrome, the tails have the red clear and i had clear fender signals on there but i replaced them with the amber that came with the front end because it looked to Monochromatic.. The reason i wanted to say away from the Polished is because it may go over bored but i know ANY thing is better than those ugly ass Konigs from that orange mess right beside my car (needed tires and that car wasnt moving so i took the wheels and have been stuck with them ever since.) and thats why i think im so worried about the color of the SI wheels. Do you guys think the polished will be to much ???

well most of the domanis came with steel wheels with hub caps. like this

and this

and the aluminum wheels are only 14 inch.. Id LOVE to do the canadian version Acura 1.6 EL wheels but they are so damn expensive once you get them shipped and every thing
they look like this

Here they are on a coupe with eye lids

But right now im trying to work with what i have.. someday id love to have some Acura 1.6 EL Premium wheels (premium is the trim level)

they are a little dirty in this picture, but you get the idea. The polish does not stand out so much as if they were chrome.

Yeah, paint doesn't touch Si wheels. Polish or clean them up.

ahhhhhhhhhh ok i see now so more of like a Brushed aluminum vs the shiny polish Yeeeeeeah i like that idea!!!!!
Thats what i was starting to do with one of them to test if it would look good.. I should probably clear coat them with some car clear coat also correct??

I would not clear coat them, and they are shiney with a nice reflection, I just did not have them clean that day.
