Was just wondering if anybody knew whether or not 7th gen civic seats will bolt into a 6th gen? Rode in a '04 Civic EX and the seats are much better than the stock '96ers that I have.

well , i just got some 7gen Si seats and they dont fit right. crooked and off center... tonite im going to my shop to pull the bases off my old Ej and try to match them up with the Si seats. My buddy did that with 350z seats on maxima bases. so it might work.. Anyone feel free to chime in on this.

A friend at the shop tole me that the seat pans are all the same.. so if you switch the seat pans with your year brackets, it should be pretty sweet. i have an upholstery guy coming in the morning to do it for me. Hopefully it will go buttery smooth. will keep u posted.

^^ I need a diy on this one as well. i got some cheap ebay seats (black w/red stick, they look dope) but the universal sliders do not fit the Weapon R seat brackets I bought....so now I'm $400 down and still in stock seats.

NEED HELP REAL BAD ON THIS ONE!!!

Hmm... I dont know about Ebay seats. Procivic.com has universal brackets and Sliders but they are almost as much as the seats themselves. Thats why i went with OE type seats. PLUS, if you get in a bad crash OE seats will probably hold up and not snap in half.

As for my seat project, The guy didnt show up this morning (typical here in Miami) so i made an appt with an upholstery shop who said 50-75 bucks to switch baskets and brackets from the EX seats to the EM2 seats. So tomm morning ill be going there.

the seat saga continues........

Right on yeh I regret going this route but its all good, I welded the bracket to the "universal sliders" and then took a drill bit thing to enlarge the holes on the brackets. They now fit great and I'll keep my fingers crossed that they don't snap lol...

OK heres the deal.... The EM2 seat bases dont exchange/switch/ swap with 99 ex seats.(took me 20 bucks at the upolstery shop to figure that out). My next step is to get a side cutter, cut off the tabs off the old ex rails, Measure twice and weld them on the EM2 rails. Finally, Problem solved!

For all those using the 3 bolt half ass method (like the guy i bought the seats from) the seats arent going to help you in a high speed crash. Better to pay 60-70 bucks and have them fit the right way to the floor, than to take a trip to the emergency room cause u wanted to save a buck. Just my PSA to all the ones who have seat swaps that dont bolt up the right way.

Hope this helps someone thinking on seat swapping.

Also, the center fabric on the EM2 has like a greenish tint to them and looks really good on my CGP paint. Im looking to get some of the fabric and re-doing the armrests on the doors and center.. That will be another post later.
