I have a 95 civic dx coupe 5 speed with 115000 miles.Here lately the engine started sputtering when I take off.In first and some times second gear.But it doesnt always do it.I also noticed that when i have the car in neutral and it idle it doesnt stay steady it will sometimes get louder for no reason.anyone have any ideas?

not the fuel filter...check out the pcv valve...also check out ur IACV buy takin off ur intake and puttin ur finger into ur throttle body and covering up the hole...if ur idle drops or stalls then ur IACV is bad...BUT BUY IT FROM THE FACTORY...i had the same problem and i put in a dx iacv and my car won't start up now...it could also be ur TP sensor...what u do to check that is disconnect it...it should be next to ur throttle body...and turn on ur car...if it acts different its not the problem...if it does...ur f**ked...try goin to ao junk yard and see if u could get a f**ked up throttle body but a good tp sensor and file it off =\ cause honda don't sell tp sensors..uhhhh it could also be ur map sensor...i never had a map sensor go bad but i guess u could do the same test u did with the tp sensor...if this doesn't help u, u could always hit me up on AIM i'll be more then happy to help u out =]
