Engine Question

If I look at my engine like most honda engines you can see the type of engine it is. Mine says b18a1 but is that the head or the block? I need to know how much oil to put back into my engine after I replace my oil pan gasket and I dont know if it depends on the block or the head or what. The motor is out of either a 94 or 96 integra not sure. Maybe they all held the same amount of oil? Please help

that is the engine code, the head code is usually between one of the exhaust ports

the exhaust ports are where the head connects to your exhaust manifold.
your head does not care how much oil you put in. you have a b18a1 block. if you have a stock oil pan, use the same procedure as if you were changing your oil normally. throw 3.5 quarts in there with a new filter. run the engine for about 5 mins, check the dipstick. add oil if necessary. not that difficult
