Engine Swap Recomendations

Hi Guys
I have a 1999 Civic CX hatchback with 1.6 stock 106hp engine and automatic transmission.
Car is great to drive but i am looking to do a engine swap to gain more hp and pull as car is very lightweight.
What engines do you recommend for swap that can go in with very little cost involved in swap that can mate with the automatic transmission?

what's your budget and power goals?

and if you're looking to mate it to the stock auto tranny, your options are going to be a little more limited.

Can buy 80000km engine from Japan for $350 and have mechanic to do motor swap for $300 so budget limited to under $1000
Want around 160hp or more by just swapping engine.
B16a 160hp route is likely my best option but wanted to know if i could get engine pushing out 200hp or more that could be direct bolt in for my car?

Uhhhhh. Unless the communication is poor here and I am missing something, you currently have a d series engine. You aren't using your transmission for anything but ANOTHER slow d series.

You want a b series you need the transmission, ecu, axles and all the other goodies that need to go along with it.
