Nice to see another 93 ex owner. D15 BIG power ;) you will see regulae post of b series such as the B18c1 which would be a fairly powerful motor in a car thats as light as ours.i believe 170 hp stock and as to tq i have no idea but its high enough. Now if you have more than a couple thousand go k series. Wiki them. Theres lots of specs on there to help you

Hmotors all the way, and any Honda motor can be dropped in with enough fab/money. B series will be the easiest to swap in. If u search this forum there is a full parts list and DIY on auto to stick as well.

I always prefer to buy used from for sale section. Like everything else, you have to be aware of who's on the other end of the sale, but if you're smart about it you'll score some killer deals. Let someone else pay the mark up while you pay the actual item cost. It's never fool proof, but it's how I roll.

BTW, I have a 94 coupe that's about to get a B16a2 upgrade. Probably the most common swap on the planet. Quick, easy, and cheap! Can't beat that now can ya. Make sure you read read read though. And when you have questions, read some more! You're not likely to ever discover something about your Honda that someone else hasn't already figured out a decade ago and started a thread 100 pages deep on how to solve it. Read and be happy with your new project :thumbs up

yes. the DOHC motor actually comes in your car in other countries as standard. You need to do a lot of research if you didn't know that.

you can swap in any D, B or ZC series engine into that body style with little modification. However, the auto trans will need to change in 95% of those cases.

This topic has been covered over and over, there are several in this section, read a few of those posts and it will give you a general idea of the options available.

BTW welcome, read the rules and enjoy.
