So yeah...i have an 99ek. I'm going to do a swap but which 1 would you consider? JDM B18C5 or JDM DC5 Engine? I heard the jdm dc5 is quick.

B18C5 for easier installation and tons of aftermarket parts for it already... I haven't too heard too much about the KA motor installations in the EKs. It would be a more costly installation.

yea... its possible to the the K motors in a 5th/6th gen... but its hard. the B18C5 would be a much much easier swap. it pretty much bolts right in. if you are that serious about doing the K swap, it might be a good idea to wait a bit and see how other people are doing it. or, if you have the money and knowledge, go for it yourself, and learn how to do it. but im guessing there will be some fabrication involoved. good luck

b18c1 use the rest of the money and slap a turbo on it ......then you'll be fast!

yeah IMO Im with HS-Pokey get the GSR swap, its better for boost, cheaper for the swap and if u slap a turbo then ur good, besides the Type R motor isnt really recommended for boosting cause of the cams, but people do it, but IMO i wouldnt. just get th GSR swap, and run the stock head and cams and build the motor bottom end and u'll be fine. B18c all the way

also compression and a power adder on the c5 would kill u really quick, not so much the cams because they have close to equal specs, but u all know it's better to have a little more exhaust then intake w/power adder
