i just replaced my d16z6 VTEC engine with a d15b7 SOHC engine. i know, slower, but idc. and after i completed the swap, it wont start. everything hooks up and turns over, but it wont crank. and i had to jerry-rig the distributor to get it to connect.

can i use two different types of spark plug wires?
wud having the distributor turned 90 degrees to the right mess with it running correctly?
what are some other ideas of why it wont start?

Yes the distributor controls ur ignition timing. It has to be set at a certain spot or the car will not run..

the distributor is where it is supposed to go, its just rotated in that spot about 70 degrees clockwise...
