alright i have a 1991 civic hatchback. the car is for the 24 hour race of Lemons...... what would be the best swap on a budget????? i know someone that has a b18a1 engine, trans, axles, wiring harness, and chipped ecu. I'm new to Honda's so I'm not sure what would be the best :twisted::twisted:

b18c block with a b16 head an a 4-1 header. the 4-1 header you get more top end power. but i like the 4-2-1 headers because you can get gains in mid range and top end. but i'm not sure how much more power at top end you get with a 4-1 vs. a 4-2-1

i own a 1991 honda civic ef hatch . Been in the honda world for about 8 months now . Looking to swap dont know which is best for my car . I dont know where to come across the motor and trans for a good deal . Any ideas I just want a b16 vtec engine or a b18 vtec . Not sure which is better for my build . I have already dropped the d15 b2 and its tranny . I know ill have to change out the knuckles and suspen but im new to this swap deal so any help would be awsome.
thanks.

P.S I also own a 1987 honda civic cr-x first gen its carbed and its not in to shabby a shape any ideas for it ?

since for the Lemons race, don't want to spend too much on it. perhaps simple b18 or b20. the swap you mentioned sounds perfect, but the b20 would give you more torque. I'm assuming a track with plenty of turns, so not likely to be in 5th very much. acceleration over top speed might be best in that case
