at one point my car wouldnt start so i attempted to jump it using cables. it ended up overcharging my battery...causing 2 blown amp fuses, 1 blown radio fuse, 1 blow ek foglight bulb, and a temp needle reading 'h' without the car being on. so i removed the cables. replaced the fuses and bulb...but i noticed my temp gauge still doesnt work. i was first told it was my thermostat so i changed it. but still, it doesnt work. i was even told the gauge itself in the cluster may have broke..or the needle.?

what could be the problem ??

dang...

could be the cluster man. See if you can swap it out with a different one to see if the temp gauge will work.

it doesnt sound like anything mechanical. maybe it was the cluster that went out. theres a 30 dollar. ummmm... idk wats its called but a sensor right in front of the block that you could try changing. like a water temp sensor. before i changed that, my gauge went up and down constantly. but. it sounds like your wires got shorted and maybe melted together or something liek that. gl

same thing happened to me after one of my swaps, just buy a new cluster ( perfect time to upgrade to an ex cluster if you dont have a tach)
