Enigne Temp Borken

On my cluster, when i took it off to paint it white, i put it all back together, checkd all the plugs, they are all in, but the tempreture one doesnt move, itj jsut stays on the bottom? what happened?

The needle is probably broken where it holds on to the little servo to turn it. When I bought my car it had the same problem, so I just bought a whole cluster off ebay and replaced my temp gauge with it.
