Enviro-safe R134a (R12 replacement alternative)

So out of desperation, I ordered an Alternate a/c recharge kit from enviro-safe (ES). The site says that I can be used as a replacement for R12 (which my system is; 93 civic hb). I had taken my a/c to be serviced the previous summer, but this summer that s**t wasn't working (leak maybe). So I was like f**k it I'll just "do-it-myself." So the site says not to evacuate the system and I emailed the company out of curiosity because I thought that that was a standard procedure when recharging the kit. The individual who emailed me said that their product did not work in an evacuated system.

I proceeded to use one of their a/c oil analyzers that I also ordered from them, which is pretty much a cotton filter pH meter encased in plastic. The analyzer (anal-lyzer lol) is suppose to change color and your suppose to match it up with a color chart to check the status of the oil. The damn thing did work that well, so I was like f**k it  I won't add the oil that came with the kit (oil charge 3) and I'll just add the R134a/R12 replacement. So I put the tap valve on the charge can and put the other end on the low pressure service shrader valve (I had to attach the shrader valve that came with the kit or else the adapter wouldnt fit on the R12 valves).

I pierced the can with the tap valve, turned on the a/c and opened up the tap valve to release the refrigerant. I agitated the can a bit and the pressure rose passed 30 psi (ES recommends it to get around 43psi). So i proceeded to get to the next can and I removed the hose from the low pressure shrader valve. As i removed the hose.................that s**t just started spewing out the refrigerant like a f**king geyser. The refrigerant is like a radioactive green slime ....that s**t that turned the turtles into mutant teenage ninja turtles. But anyway, I put the hose back on and and it stopped leaking. I turned off the a/c and the car.

I then tried to loosen the shrader valve from the bottom with some pliers because I thought the shrader valve may have been malfunctioning. To my surprise.......I was right. I loosed the valve and removed it and saw that the pin in the R134a shrader valve that came with the kit had some how fallen off......f**k:evil:.....luckily I had a HONDA OEM R134a shrader valve that I had purchased some months ago (For 50 f**kin dollars....majestic honda ripped me off, but thats another story). Anyway, i put that valve on and proceeded to add the next can of refrigerant, mind you, this is after a bunch of refrigerant had spewed out of the system. So I turned the car on and then the a/c and then added all the contents of the next can.
The system blew some cold air, but the change was not significant. I then took the car out for a "spin" and as I drove around the a/c got somewhat cooler, but I was not impressed (FYI, I hit vtec yo:lol:). The temperature outside was 90 degrees Fahrenheit btw.

So maybe I did something wrong or that s**t just doesn't work.. i read of other people using it and having great results, but sadly, I did not reap the same benefits. Maybe when I take the car out again it will get cooler, but I just felt like sharing my experience with this product.
Don't forget to keep it gangsta, but above all...keep it JDM.

Update......so check this s**t out. I get in my car to drive to work (hot as balls like always)....and I was like f**k it (I'm always like "f**k it")....I turned on the a/c. To my surprise, that s**t starts blowing out cold air. I looked at the thermometer that I had left in vent since the previous day and it was at 40 Fahrenheit..."f**k me sideways"...even after my mishaps the a/c was working. Hopefully it'll last till the end of this summer...or even longer...who the f**k knows. and yes "what a clusterfuck"
