ex cluster in dx hatch fuel and oil temp issue

Hello everyone. I just got my 94 dx hatch a week ago and have been experiencing issues. My speedo meter and odometer would work sometimes,but wounldnt most times. the fuel and water temp gauges worked fine. I just got an ex cluster and installed it. Now my speedo and odometer are working along with the tach,but the fuel and water tempgauge isnt responding. Anyone know why im having this problem/ Any and all help will be greatly appriciated.

I know it's a stupid question, but you checked the connection at the back of the cluster, all snugged up, right? 2 different sending units, not likely to be an error with BOTH sending units. Would think to check the connectors first. Otherwise, think perhaps that gauge itself is bad. Mine (LX with tach) has both indicators as part of same gauge cluster. If the old cluster is the same setup, can replace that new gauge cluster with the old working unit.
