Let's try this. I pulled my tranny today because of a clunking noise. I opened it up and inspected the differential where I thought the noise was coming from. I noticed an extreme amount of slop in the spider gears. When I bought my car I was under the impression that it being an ex that it had the ex tranny. Nope. I had purchased some ex gear stacks out of a tranny with only a broken shift rod. Under the same impression still. My question is can I take the pin and spider gears from the ex and put them on the DX that's in my car. Teeth count are the same and size as well. Difference is bearing size and outside diameter of shaft. Here's some pics.
