EX header/cat same length as DX hatch header/cat?

ok so i did a quick search, but yielding no results i have decided to post.

what i need to know is if an EX header/cat is the same length as DX hatch header/cat? i just ordered an apexi ws2 off off ebay and the only choice was "96-00 DX hatchback". i just need to know if there is going to be a gap between my EX header/cat combo and the DX cat-back. if there is going to be a gap im gonna order the adjustable test pipe from password: jdm.

this is the part from password i was talking about:

Wait....what? If you have an EX header, order the WS2 for the EX / Si. 116-KH01

bump anyone???

what im saying is, since i have the EX header/cat combo, im thinking there will be a gap in between the cat and the dx exhaust. im just not sure if the length of the stock DX header/cat is the same length as the EX header/cat.

if you have your cx header/cat, measure it and compare to your ex header/cat.

should be the same.

i would say they would be the same, the piping from cat to axle should be the same for all 96-00 civics, the only difference should be the axle-muffler.

im making a guess, someone correct me if im wrong.

The DX header/cat combo is not the same length as the EX header and EX cat.

I have the exact same issue or question! But what I came up with is that I would just order the model that was made for the DX, CX models and take it to the muffler shop and have them cut one end of the Bpipe and weld on a new flange to fit on the EX header and Cat combo.

unless by some odd reason u can order certain sections separately. Axle back for the hatch and Bpipe from a coupe haha.

true. but for me i dont really wanna run a test pipe at the moment. my exhaust is already loud as it is without a resonator haha. but solution is pretty good. i'll keep that in mind in the near future. haha.
