Exhaust broke + No start + Oil in spark plug well. Please help

Exhaust broke in half just before the cc. Next day car won't start. Just keeps cranking. Seems to be getting fuel. Checked spark plugs and found one of the wells 1/2 full of oil. Took off valve cover to check rubber seals, found that my engine (D16y8) has long metal tubes rising out of the engine, so no rubber seals needed there. So I still don't know how oil got in, and to top it off I over tightened a vc bolt, cracking it in the case. When I checked oil I found it to be surprisingly low. Took about 1 1/2 quarts to get it back up to a normal level. Am I burning oil? I replaced spark plugs and cleaned out the spark plug wells. Still no start. Any help is greatly appreciated, Thanks.

You do have plug tube seals, they're on the valve cover itself. Flip it over.

you might need to get a valve gasket set and see what happens after you install it

Any CEL codes?

Does the fuel pump prime?

Is there bright white spark at all 4 spark plugs?

Thanks for the responses. The check engine light went on a little after the exhaust broke, but I haven't been able to get the code. I'll try to get that and check for sparks at the plugs tomorrow, rainy day today. It seemed like the fuel pump was working, but that's something I should look into better. I'm kinda a noob at this stuff. Thanks again.

Aright, got'er fixed. Turns out that the computer was screwing up, probably because not much exhaust was getting to the o2 sensor with the exhaust broken. Reset the computer and it fired up, then got the exhaust welded back up. Gonna be checkin the spark plugs to make sure no more oils gettn in. Runnin good so far.
