Exhaust For Turbo

Right now I am preparing for a turbo setup. I had my eyes on the RSR-Ex Mag exhaust. But i'm guessing that this would be a bad exhaust with a turbo setup due to the restriction. So, i didn't want to have a really loud exhaust but it doesn't look like i have much a choice. What would be a good exhaust to get with a greddy turbo setup. Greddy EVO? APEX N1? i'm trying to have a quiet exhaust too by the way

Are you serious can you say waste of money, look at people with turbos and it always says "custom exhaust" aslo known as go to a muffler shop have them custom fit 3 inch pipeing and get more power from that for like 200 dollars then spend 500 on what you mentioned and get less power.

you want a 3" exhaust, and you'll need a high flow cat because the stock cat wont bolt up to a 3 " flange. you also want a minium 2.5" downpipe.

No the exhaust is 3" all the way threw from down pipe back 3",so many people are buying them because they think the name makes the prodcuct work better, and they are stupid for paying that much money.

so pretty much the greddy evo is not a good exhaust for a turbo oh and by the way 2.5 inch exhaust if fine unless you have 300+ hp

id just get a high flow cat, 3inch pipe to a resonator, then 3 inch pipe right out the back.... I know the Thermal Turbo Exhaust sounds great and quiet when a turbo is on it.

No one said it was bad but whats the diff between that and the pipeing you would get at a muffler shop? And why would you pay more for 2.5 when you can get 3" for cheaper so when you plan on maken more power you wont have your exhuast restricting you.

i like kits over custom.... no offense i have all the respect in the world for people who do custom exhaust and custom turbos but i'm more of "i got the money where's the kit" kind of person.... but thanks for all the help you guys i'm prob. going with the greddy evo.. b/c if i were to do 3" piping now on my engine.... it'd slow it down so much at low rpms

do more reading. turbos work by heat energy passing across the turbine. the bigger the heat and pressure difference between the manifold (before the turbo) and the downpipe and exhaust (after the turbo) the faster it will spool and the more power it will make. you cant go too big of an exhaust on a turbo car. the bigger and more free flowing it is, the more power and faster spool it will have. 2.5 will work, but 3 is better.

handle is the man... i did a lot of reading on this that said on the greddy kit going from 2.5" to 3" is hardly an increase because this type of kit isn't producing huge horse power numbers..... however if you were in the 300+ hp range this would help a lot more
