exhaust leak

i have a turbonetics kit on my 99 si and the upper part of the downpipehas a leak in it (near the wastregate) should i just JB weld it shut or actually weld the two pipes together

any good ideas for a muffler for my car, i currently have a catback tanabe super hyper medallion with 2.5 piping but inside the muffler it shrinks down to 2. i'm thinking about just running a 2.5 pipe and skipping a muffler all together, when the car was dyno'd it put down 217 with the muffler but 226 without it and still wasn't very loud. also any ideas for a cat? thinking shunk or password test pipe

But, I'd say do a 2 1/4 catback exhaust. For your NA setup, it should be about right.
