Motor Trend says that it is a Modena with new sheet metal, a new powerplant and a new name. It is based off of the Modena, but is pretty much a new car of its own. here are some specs for the new F430 according to Motor Trend:

0-60mph in 4.0 seconds
Top Speed 196mph
4.3 Liter V-8 DOHC 5 valves/cylinder
483hp @ 8500 rpm
343lbs torque @ 5250 rpm
6speed manual w/ shift paddles capable of swapping ratios in 150 miliseconds
Electronically controlled LSD
It weighs in at 3200 lbs curb weight

the 360 is not the only "modena" ... it is a model type
