Curious about the three steal reinforcement plates that are bolted under the rear seat, at the B pillar.
-I've read the EK9 doesn't have these ( thus the rear EK9 seat bottoms sit a bit higher, and the rear interior quarter trim panel doesn't fit the EJ6 due to its different design around the reinforcement plates)
Anybody remove these?
Wonder if Honda of America did this for structural integrity ( EK9's had stronger spot wields etc )?,
Or for reasons of improved safety in case of collision?
Granted it serves both functions, but can it be removed to fit rear trim panels with out causing issues?
