Factory fit rear bumper

Like a dummy I got a fiberglass rear bumper for my 97 ex and sure enough it wont fit rite so my question is will the 99-00 si rear bumper bolt rite up to it with no mods I found a bonds site that still sells factory parts for both my ex n the si's and for a new one price is not bad at all really its cheaper then going the ricer look lol thanks the advice

Yes, any bumper from a 96-00 coupe or sedan is interchangeable. 96-98 and 99-00 look slightly different at the bottom but either will fit.

Ok thanks for ur help when I order the rear bumper from the si I want the lip too so shouldn't that bolt straight up too also what about the side skirts from si model will they fit my 97ex with no mods id love to do front end conversion but I can't afford all that yet id rather do the b series swap first and last what lip should I get for my front 97 ex bumper im afraid to get a fiberglass one because of fitment is ebay lips ok or can I get lip for si model to bolt to my ex with no mods again thanks for the help

Si front lip will not fit a 96-98 bumper. I would buy the bumper from majestic Honda or something like it if your buying brand new, I think it was 280$ for my front bumper

If you're referring to the rear lip, then yes it will bolt right up. If you're talking about the front lip then no, it won't. 96-98 lips are compatible with 96-98 bumpers and 99-00 lips are compatible with 99-00 bumpers. As far as side skirts, there is no such thing as an Si side skirts, they use the same ones as all of the other models. Being painted is the only difference.

No im just needing rear bumper with lip for my 97 ex for now so im looking to get 99-00 si bumper which I've found brand new for $172.16 but it don't come with lip and they don't carry rear lips just front. So where would I get a 99-00 si rear lip that'll bolt to my new si bumper? Im afraid to get one from ebay because I've herd you have to modify them to fit. Would any of y'all have one for sale or know where I can get a brand new one again thanks for the feed back****** I know the fiberglass ones wont do me any good but im looking on ebay now and found urethane CTR lips will those bolt to the si bumper I've been asking about?

Sorry to keep bugging y'all bout these damn bumpers but just want to get parts rite the first time ... so if I can add a lip to my 97 ex front oem bumper would the urethane CTR lip fit

Get oem bumpers if you want perfect fitment, sure they cost more but it will work out far better in the end. As for the rear lip try to find a OEM one as they mount beautifully. I love mine

Just for the record, there is no such thing as an Si bumper. All 99-00 bumpers are the same, the only part that is unique to the Si would be the lip itself. There are good pictures of how it mounts there too.

The lip in that link will fit any 99-00 bumper. It will not fit a 96-98 bumper. It does not matter whatsoever what year the car is. The 99-00 rear bumper will fit on your car without any other modifications.

Can I get a ctr lip from ebay for the 97 oem ex rear bumper if so I need the urethane lip right cause the fiberglass bumper im taking off didn't fit to begin with sorry for all the bumper questions just wanna get it right 1st time hope no more questions lol

The CTR only came as a hatchback therefore the CTR rear lip will only fit hatchbacks. The coupe/sedan share a common rear bumper but the hatchback is different.

I'm guessing what you are talking about since you mentioned eBay, are the ones that are called Type R style. These are just aftermarket lips that actually look nothing like the CTR lip and more like the 99-00 Si. They are aftermarket and usually fairly cheap, they're not all made by the same company so fitment is questionable and whether or not 96-98 is compatible with 99-00 is just kind of a toss up.

I found a site called jdmshit and they o guess make the si lips to fit 96-98 because oem are inch and a half short so im gonna try those
