Failed emissions due to high HC

Will octane booster help reduce my HC? higher octane burns more intensely so id imagine it would help with the HC. need help ASAP need to pass DEQ before tomorrow so i can register for college

Stop looking for a fix in a bottle. It doesn't exist.

Do an ignition system tune up and fix all CEL codes. Then go from there.

didn't say i was looking for a fix a bottle i just got a remapped ecu chip and replaced car rotor and plugs so don't tell me what you think i should do. i was looking for an answer to my question not a suggestion of what i should do

RonJ gave you an answer, it isn't going to work. Running a higher octane is just going to burn the fuel more intensively, not cleanly. This can eliminate few HC but will never be enough to pass smog emissions off the back. He didn't question your knowledge on "tuning" but don't you think if the octane booster would help that people would just pour it in accordingly and pass? Yes people do it, but that is if they have a .01 in hc ratio to pass. What are your HC results and we can go from there?
