Failed Emissions Test . -__-

My HC(PPM) is reading 286 when the standard is 173 and the CO(%) READS 2.59 when the standard is 0.97.
I really don't know what any of this means...except something is very dirty and needs to be cleaned..

But what can I do to lower it... I need to pass inspection..

HC and CO are usually exhaust. Your cat could be going/shot.

I agree, sounds lite the Catalytic converter. I had to replace one about 4 years ago, went with a "magnaflow" high flow Cat. Again, it didn't last too long. Maybe because of the mileage (had around 200k on engine at the time)
Replaced earlier this year with a Catco brand, and didn't have any trouble passing.

By the way, not sue why bottom of your post has the CC store tag with testpipes, but pretty damn stupid if was an auto tag.
test pipes wouldn't do a thing to solve your issue..
