Swift help on this one would be greatly appreciated as the car is currently in pieces.
Normally i'd ask the auld man but he's buggared off on holiday
.
The car is a 95 civic coupe EJ2.My problem is a minor one ,have just wired an alarm in and its all working save one small factor. That being the drivers door lock actuator.
Now I'm unaware if the models differ in america but here in the UK the power locks are dependent on the key being turned in the drivers door this , in turn, sending a lock/unlock signal through to the passenger door.In the case of fitting remote central locking an aftermarket actuator needs to be installed to lock the drivers door.
The actuator is in place and has two wires, one being live and the other neutral.I've checked and the actuator works correctly in both polarities. My question is , having only two wires ,how do i attach the lock/unlock wires from the alarm whilst also having the ground in place to allow the actuator to function?
Thanks for reading.
