Faulty aircon

Hi. I have just brought a 98 1.6 cvt civic 3 door. I was told that the car had an aircon fault when I brought it and was told the motor had burnt out. So I have put a new fan and motor in the car but yet it still doesn't work. I have also changed all the fuses and the relay to to be sure but still nothing! Any advice would be great.

Did you recharge the system? Not one of those crappy home kits, but a professional machine that actually puts the correct amount of freon in? Does it hold pressure? Any leaks? There is way more to an HVAC system than just a fan, motor, and some fuses. You need to trouble shoot to find out what is wrong instead of just throwing parts at it. It could be something as simple as a little .50 cent o-ring that won't allow the system to hold pressure. Won't know until you thoroughly test the system.

It holds pressure fine. No leaks at all. It's just that the fan is not going round. Will never use a home kit on a car.
