Fender flairs & Tires

Ok. I may or may not have a really dumb question but I've been searching for an answer and I don't even know what to look for! I'm thinking about putting some fender flares on my Hatch but before even thinking about it; how tf do I push or pull or make the wheels in line with the new flairs??? I have no knowledge about anything like this whatsoever so any information helps! I'm trying to figure out how to line the wheels up with the wide flares.

It has to do with the offset of the wheels you have.

Think about this, how will you replace the entire rear then?
You mount the flares to the current front fenders and mount to the rear fender well.

Get yourself familiarized with wheel width and offset, backspacing, wheel spacers, etc. willtheyfit.com helps to calculate and see how much they will stick out, tyrestretch.com shows stretched tires and sizes to see what they look like. Usually you need to lower the car and have stretched tires to pull this look off.
