Hey all,

Haven't posted in a long while. Really miss the forums it's just life's been really busy this year. But enough with the excuses, I need you all's expertise on helping me figure out a few (straight muffed up) wiring problems I'm having with my 00 EM1.

For starters, the back lighting behind my dash lights (not the cluster, but the temp knobs and such) have never been lit up since I've owned my ride. I've changed all the fuses out so that is out of the question. I thought it could be something to do with the idiot who owned it before me not knowing what he was doing and clipped something while installing the head unit. Does that sound right? Or could it be the bulbs? Are there bulbs? Sorry to sound uber noobish, but I really have no clue how to fix it.

Second, my back window brake light doesn't work. Now, I think this has something to do with my spoiler light being hooked up and working, is that the case?

Lastly, the fog light and cruise control buttons do NOT light up. The cruise button does have that green "on" light once pressed, but that's about it.

Any help will be greatly appreciated! Can't wait to get more into the scene again.

Thanks,

cfultz

well hopefully its just bulbs that are out. the cruise control has a litte bulb in it, all you have to do is remove the lower driver side pannel and take the CC out, you will see on the side where the bulb is.(same for the fogs i think) just go to honda and get a new one. your window brake light is NOT supposed to be functioning when you have a spoiler. so its correct the way it is, this is how they came from the factory if they had a spoiler. you could hook it up if you wanted, but the window brake reflects off the spoiler and its too much. so just leave it the way it is.
now for your temp and stuff im not sure, i have a 98 so we still have to slide it across and what not. hopefully its just bulbs out, cuz if the guy before you cut stuff, then its going to be much more of a headache.
Luckily all he could have clipped was inside the head area, so you should be able to spot anything wrong if you remove the head and poke around a bit. this would probably be easier if you just remove the whole climate control, a little bit of work, but its alot less strain on your neck lol. good luck man.
