I don't know how many of you have done your own fiberglass enclosures, but I thought I'd share my progress. Since it's gotten cold as hell, pretty much the whole process has stopped.

I currently still need to trim the canvas back, put down one more layer of glass on the visible faces, paint em, and mount the 10s.

All pics are with a camera phone, so they look horrible~.

Make me some!!! lol I suck with fiberglassing
Thanks for all the good words, gents! I started working a little more on em the past few nights; just trimming and getting them prepped for another layer of glass.

This is my first experience with fiberglassing, so I won't be surprised if they come out sounding like condoms stretched over peanut butter jars.

All in all, the technique is really simple; it just takes a lot of patience, a strong nose, and a lot of acetone.

Minimum volume for the 10W0 is 0.75 cubic feet, not counting displacement of the woofer. Since there are no normal planes on the box, just from guestimation, there should be ample volume. I may at some point fill them with distilled water and measure it that way. I don't think I'll have a problem tho.

Three layers on the back side (non-visible) and only one layer on the front face (visible). I will put down two more layers on the front before I consider it 'done' with glassing.
