Fiberglass rear bumper

Well just got my new rear bumper for my 97 civic ex fits good but both side bow out just bout quarter of an inch ne advice on how to get it to straighten out will tying a strap around hole trunk n body with two boards on bumper help maybe set n sun first thanks for the help m advance

the sun isnt gonna do anything to fiberglass

Fiberglass is formed by soaking material like fiber cloth with resin and is hardened [usually] over night. There is absolutely nothing that the sun is going to do other than harden it more, if anything at all. You aren't going to bend it back and if anything you will crack it by trying to do what you are thinking.

What you are going through is what happens a lot when buying aftermarket parts. Stuff like this is punched out one after another without much focus on final fitment.

Sometimes you can heat the parts up with a heat gun and bend them into place. That really depends on thickness what was used ect ect.
