I've had the car for just over 5 years and just rolling over 210,000 miles, I finally have CEL's that need my attention...

I used my roommates OBD2 reader and I'm banging myself on the head for not writing it but 1 of them was "Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)" and the other was some idle problem. I cleaned out my IACV several weeks ago, unplugged the sensors, and used the idle screw on the TB to adjust my idle. Ever since, I get the idle CEL every now and then.

And I have no idea what the catalyst efficiency malfunction is lol. My friend says basically my cat is junk but I'm thinking it's a bad O2 sensor?

Input?

Is it Bank 1 sensor 1 or Bank 1 sensor 2? That will determine if it's primary of secondary o2 sensor.. if it's sensor 2, it could be cat or the sensor, if it's sensor 1, it's most likely the sensor...

It didn't say. All it said was "Bank 1".

Probably just the o2 sensor, pretty easy fix, congratulations on taking care of your car and having it last.
