So I finally made up my mind on what to get and how to put it all in. Swaped out my 12's for a single 10.
Sub is a Pioneer (of course) TS-W256C (350w RMS) in a SubZone sealed box. Powered by a Pioneer GM-5000T amp fed by 4ga power and gound wires with a 40 amp fuse. Loomed all the showing wires, could use some work, but it gets the job done.
Also built a false floor to mount everything to and put a spare tire hatch in it
Not the greatest, but it sounds awesome for the $$.

Pics:
Sub:

Yeah i know the sub looks like its in a weird position, but after moving it around and listening to it with the trunk open and closed, and the seat up and down, that position worked best for me, and I can still use most of the trunk space, and the pass through

Amp:

Mounted sort of backwards cause I was too lazy to lengthen the power wires

From outside:

Yeah i attempt to skate, so I try to keep a board handy, old school acme, heavy, but rides nice

From passenger cabin:

Look closely at the floor and you can see my hatch pictured below faintly

Spare tire/ tool hatch:

Not the best craftsmenship on it, but it works, and I think it looks ok with the carpet attached (man that contact adhesive smelled good, lol)

Headunit and CB:

CB is gonna move soon, that DEH-1300 headunit is old, but it works, it used to be in my old car (88 Lude 2.0 Si, 4WS)

Just for kicks, my ebrake handle:

Hey it was free, lol

And now for shits and giggles, my stock d15 with 203,100 miles:

Yup its dirty, and the intake is crap, but the intake was free and so was the dirt, lol. You can sort of see the DIY 2ga grounding in there, and the fuse and power wire. Hey as long as it runs, I'm happy.

Comments, laughs, suggestions and everthing but whoring welcome.

not the cleanest setup I've seen but you get extra points for not paying someone else to do it and for trying something new with the trap door.

Thanks, it could be better, but I kinda rushed the job, eye balled measurements

Did you ever think of putting the amp on the seat back? That way it'll be out of the way, you'd gain trunk floor space and you can ground it right to the bottom of the seat back rail. You'd also be less likely to damage the amp. Anyway, that is where mine is bolted down.

One question, where is the sub in the box? I don't see the speaker?

Good idea man, but thats where it was before, and it was always in the way when i went to put my surfboard or other stuff in the trunk using the pass though, I'm working on making a Plexiglas cover for the amp, with cooling fans, to cover and protect it.

As far as the sub, its facing the side wall of the trunk, after moving it all around the trunk and listening with the trunk open/closed, and the seat up and down, I put it there cause it still sounds good with the trunk open, where as if i faced it toward the trunk lid it wouldnt have anything to bounce sound off of. I might turn it around after summer, but i'm gonna be going to a bunch of BBQ's this summer and usually just play music out of a car rather than bringing a portable boombox.

Just a quite side note- Sirius Sat. radio coming soon! (I get a discount at work =))

I have my amp mounted under my front passenger seat. Which can be a bad idea if you let stupid people in your car (one person left a mountain dew bottle on my seat half opened half closed, well make a long story short, it leaked through the seat and ruined my first JL Audio amp.) but where the sub is placed isn't going to produce the best sound. If you place it flush up against the driver side back seat in trunk with the subwoofer faced towards back end of vehicle, then open your passenger side rear seat (if you have split) you should get the best SQ / SPL for what your set-up is.. just my two cents =)

P.S. On another note, good job man! =) Nice setup overall =)

I've got Sirius and haven't turned the radio on since. It's a great item. You'll enjoy it.

Thanks man, my rear seat is not a split bench :(, and the placement wont get the best sound, but its out of harms way there

Thanks man, the tool box has come in handy a lot, mainly to fix stuff in the dorm last semester, and a little wrenching here and there on my car and some friends rides, its been great to have. I dont remember how many times I had to jump my buddies cars or help them fix stuff
