First time civic owner... 2000 Civic Ex

Hello. My name is Cliff and I just picked up a 2000 civic ex 5 speed coupe. So far, I love it. It is a good little daily car and it is very clean and all stock....for now.

Im coming from a 2005 rsx type s, so its quite a downgrade but its okay.

I am looking to do a few mods to it. My goal is to keep it simple and CLEAN looking.

I want to lower the car and get some nice rims for it.
Install some new headlights with HIDs
Install fog lights
Tint the front windows
Get a type r front and rear lip
Install some sidemarkers
Dress up the engine bay
Install a stainless steel header
Install a quiet exhaust \
Paint the valve cover wrinkle red

That is just a few things that I would like to do. Like i said, I am going for a clean look and i am not at all trying to make this car fast. Just want to engine bay to look clean when the hood is popped.

I do have a few questions about the civic but some of them have slipped my memory. I currently just have 2 keys for the car and no key fob....if i get a key fob from ebay or from honda....will it work with my car? Is there a way for me to find out.

If I'm not mistaken you have to get the keyless entry programmed at the dealer.

I think nick (young) is right on that, but I'm also not too experienced. I wouldn't grab one off of ebay. Check in with the dealer to make sure before you buy anything.
