My dumbass threw a rock at someone today and it scratched the hood of my car. I now have 3, 1/2 inch scratches on the hood of my car. Besides killing myself what is the best way to fix this, use something likeScratch King or should I take it somewhere and get it done professionally. If i get it done somewhere about how much do you think it will cost?

it really all comes down to how deep you actually scratched it...Dont know why you would throw a rock at someone in the first place but, you can try the "scratch king" although I have never heard anything about it....You could also try some scratch/swirl remover, I knoe that Meguirs makes some...you can apply it by hand but Iwould use an obital buffer because you really have to work it into the paint

damn. how deep did it scratch it? and what the hell were you doing/thinking?? and how do you have 3 scratches from 1 rock??? you could try remover, like 2kstreetcivic said, or you might need some touchup paint (not too expensive from honda and will match color exactly). if you feel faint about doing touchup yourself, get some friendly pro to do it cheap. damn.

If you went past the clear coat kiss it goodbye, but if not, use a rubbing compound to pull the color back out!

like civic betty said wtf where you doing? Just try and buff them out like everyone has said if that doesnt work take it to a body shop and make friends they should be able to hook you up. I got a local body shop to re-shoot my front lip spoiler for free so just try and see whats up. =)

I guess if the cost to repaint is too high, it just gives you a reason to go carbon, baby!
