Flywheel w/ boost weight??

will a 8 lb flywheel be a lil to brittle w/ boost, btw its gonna be the greddy kit for Si's at the most 8 psi, or should i look into the 12lb one?? thanks in advance

Stay away from aluminum. It can shatter go with the heaver steel better safe than sorry.

i think you will be ok with aluminum considering the setup,as for the weight,there is no right or wrong answer.there two schools of thought,and both heavy and light flywheels have an advantage and disadvantage....

so what would be my disadvantages of going w/ a 8 lb or a 11 lb aluminum

disadvantages of a lighter flywheel will result in more rpms lost between shifts,however,as opposed to a heavier flywheel,you can gain them back quicker.it is up to you on which weight you go with,either way,your gonna have to learn how to launch with it,bc it will in fact be totally different than normal.so,if you've never driven with a lightened wheel,id go with a mid weight,such as 11lb,however,just like anything you will be able to learn to drive with any,so you may dive right into an 8lb.the choice is yours ultimatly
