foglight switches keep melting

well my relay for my ebay fogs went out so i bought a 12v 40a afrom autozone which is the same size relay as my old one. anyways after i installed it i have had two switches melt so is this from to big of a relay. also how can i use a toggle switch instead of the oem style

You wired it wrong or you read the amperage on the old switch wrong.
