found a good deal on a ls motor

so im thinking about buying a LS motor (b18b1) to be exact off this car dealer ship that has one sitting in the back. But the motor has been back there for 2 years with the oil cap off and there was a hole in the carbon fiber hood so if water/snow got in it do you think i could tear it apart and rebuild it and bring it back to life or is it toast? and i will be buying pritty much the whole front end for 400$ motor/tranny/axles/ecu etc.

you can, pull the valve cover off see what it looks like, maybe there is something really wrong with it, why has it been sitting, does the dealer have any kind of info on the motor, long block short block, whats included in this setup?
