I park my car in my driveway because both sides of the street are packed with snow and the roads are icy so i dont want idiots to hit my car, and out of habbit i always use my handbrake, but recently when i wake up to go to school and my handbrake is frozen, so i get to take my dads car (2003 Acura Cl Type S 6 speed which i dont mind), but he hates taking my car to work later in the day. I leave around 7 but usually from what my dad tells me it thaws out around 10... The tempuratures here are 10s for the low and 20s/30s for high for the past 2 weeks. It never used to freeze in these tempuratures before... is there water or slush around the brake that could be causing it to freeze overnight? I don't see anything, what should i do besides not use the handbrake?

i've been putting it in gear but when i even do that then (step 6) put up the ebrake the ebrake will freeze... i wanna know how to keep it from freezing, not how to keep my car from rolling.

Maybe try not pullin it up all the way. Sometimes that happens to me, so i juust pull it enough to not let the car slide. see if that works
