fuel guage on crack

so this morning i noticed that my fuel guage was slightly above the full mark. when it should have been about half a tank. i went into burger king for breakfast and when i came out and started my car, everything was fine. but then when i was on the freeway, it went back up to past full. anyone have this problem or know what the hell is happening with my s**t??

ya i have that too, if i tromp on the gas it goes down a bout a quarter of the gauge and its wierd, but they want like 400$ to fix it, also my low fuel light went on when my tank was full, so, my buddy has it in his EK also, so it must be something with the fuel sensor.

yup mine does that too, it seems to be real sensitive..

my car does that too, when i step on the gas the needle drops and later on it goes back up. my fuel light dosent even go on when the needle is on E. i never went to get it checked tho.

no, mine goes the other way, when i have a half tank, it says i have a full tank. its wierd, so now i dont trust my fuel guage, and found out that ill have to replace the float in my tank. 150 from honda.

did u guys try different clusters??...maybe it might be something electrical??...same problem in a 83? cressida...it bounces everywhere wen u move only...
