fuel switch question

instead of splicing the power wire can i just splice the ground? and the fuel pump is under the backseat??? thanks guys/girls

yes its under the back seat...you can splice the wires right under the seat or by the rear side panel i think not sure though...just splice the power wire dude...ground may give you problems. you already got the switches...18 gauge wire will work and a rocker 2 prong automotive rated switch from radioshack....about 20 mins work time.

Just so you know you have to keep the total length at 5 feet or so. I read that in a forum (I believe Cause For Alarm). If you want to extend the wires past 5 feet for switch, you must use a relay as the resistance will be too great. There are alot of good ideas; the best are "Ghost Switches". I saw someone make an 1/8 Stereo jack on one of there empty panels by the emergency brake. At first glance, it looks like an Ipod jack or something like that, but he actually had a 1/8 loop adapter he plugged in there (completing the circuit) everytime he started the car. Get creative, the harder the better.

so whats this abiout having to use a relay? if the tolat legnth is greater than 5 feet? or 5feet each way? and what kind of relay?
