Full Nose Mask, HELP

Hey guys,
So I just bought the full nose mask for my new 2010 Civic Coupe. I guess i should have done some more reading about it before i went ahead and bought. I've read that if left on after it rains it can mess up the paint job really bad, but there were some other articles i read and people have left their masks on for 6 months straight and when they took it off there was nothing wrong with the car. I'm worried because my Civic is black, and i think sinc its black the paint will get messed up worse because of the darker color. Since reading those articles I decided I'm only going to use the mask when I drive down to New Jersey in a few weeks for vacation, and after that I will take it right off and only use for long distance trips.

Does anyone have any experience/suggestions in regards to the full nose mask? Is is really more trouble than it's worth. Appreciate the feed back, and just fyi- I don't really care about how people think the nose mask looks stupid, I only purchased it to protect my car not so much for the looks.

to be honest, id say sell it or return it. If there is that much of a risk of screwing up the paint, get rid of it. Look into clear plastic chip gaurd. its cheap, you cant see it, and it really works

well ive only had the hood bra on my 6th gen and its black ive left it on when it rained but i did know you have to dry it so i guess just after it rains you have to take it off and let it dry and then reinstall it. mine was quick and easy but since yours is a full bra then i dont know it might be more of a hassle to take it off and put it back on

Thanks guys, that helps a little.. When i bought the car 3 months ago I asked if my dealership did the 3m clear bra... they said no but they could find out for me who did do them, never heard back from them.. I will look into it though.
