Build a GSR and enjoy. Unless you build it right, the B20v won't be reliable and the b16 will never have enough torque to make you happy

Omg.... So many threads on this. Go on here, HT or NWP4LIFE and look at peoples build threads. That's the way you'll learn.

Torque is the force that makes you move. You must not understand the process
Yeah, boost makes fat torque. And I'm loving the GSR motor that's in my hatch. Plenty of torque for a 2500 lb car, I get rubber in 3rd no problem.

No pls explain to me
Would you like me to google that for you, or would you like to stay on this topic for the OP?

B16 vs B18b
same driver, track and conditions for the 1/4 mile the b18b will have a faster time.
Why? Magical word Displacement.

I'm a big fan of the B16 but overall cost for power with a budget I would go B18b.

To answer the OP question, out of the two I would build a reliable B20v or go for a GSR.
The cost of the CSR is not much more than the B16 but it is more beneficial

you mofos really think im serious lmfao . torque is a awesome fact when u are at a dead stand still. If the amount of torque u had won races then a diesal dumptruck would win all the races. You need a direct correlation of the both but you cant say that a b16 will not make some one happy. Yes there pricey but thats because ppl choose to pay that money for it . I personaly got my whole swap for $900 and now i chose to do a complete teardown and a turbo build i.e. eagle rods, pistons, and valve train. Yes a fuily built all-motor b16 isnt the greatest i know i would rather have a fully built b20v all motor but for the SNAIL b16 has almost a perfect rod to stroke ratio for it.

It's a joke. I'm sure he understands. He just doesn't like the fact that I commented back about torque
Ooops. I was scurrd for a minute. Sowie!

Well a turbo is going to make anything faster. And I totally agree, an all motor build is more expensive than just throwing a turbo on a motor. You get more bang for your buck on a turbo. But I don't think the OP was talking about boosting?

Fully built B20VTEC would out power the fully built B16. From what I've read, B16's pretty much top out to 200hp. B20VTEC's can go beyond that and more.

Higher displacement block + shorter gear transmission > Lower displacement block + shorter geared transmission. All day er'day.
